It’s official, the glitter storm is upon us, and I know you’ve been feeling the change in pressure.
Christmas can be the most magical time of year in so many ways, but for lots of you badass babes out there, it can be super busy and stressful too. There’s a lot to do and of course you want to make the most of this festive time for your business. So if you’re feeling the overwhelm starting to creep in, here are a few gentle reminders to keep you on track.
You got here on your own merit
Let’s just take a quick moment to pause and look how far you’ve come to get here right now – all the things you have achieved in the last 12 months.
What were you doing this time last year? Did you wish you’d be doing something like this now?
If you have a spare 10 minutes (don’t laugh, I know how busy you are) make a quick list of all the things you’ve achieved since January – both big and small. It’s hard to remember right? Really take a moment to think about it, because there’s so much that you’ve accomplished but may have forgotten about. This perspective will help you see that you deserve this, you are capable of amazing things and you really can make magic happen!
This is all you baby, you made this happen. And that my friend is something to be celebrated!
This is not your only chance
A business is for life, not just for Christmas! If you feel like you’ve got a million things you want to do but there aren’t enough hours in the day, or weeks left of the year; or if you’re kicking yourself for not doing something you’ve seen a competitor do and feel like its too late…
It’s not.
Breathe. This is not your only change to do this. Fortunatly Christmas is one of those things that comes around again and again. So whatever you didn’t get chance to do this year, you’ll be ready to make happen next time.
Make notes
If you’re already thinking about all the things you want to do next time, start making notes now. Once it’s all over, it’ll be easy to forget the passing thoughts you have now. So write things down lady! That goes for all the little learnings too, any mistakes or things you vow to never do again, make a note now so history doesn’t repeat itself by accident!
I suggest carrying a little notebook around with you, or at least make good use of the note app on your phone. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself in 12 months time!
Enjoy yourself!
Remember why you chose to do this. It may seem crazy and exhausting right now, and you might not have a spare moment to think about it, but that’s why it’s so important to remember your why.
What led you here? What made you want to push yourself to do this? There’s a reason you’re doing this and it comes from a place of passion, excitement and love for your work!
Be sure to revisit your why if you feel like the stress is taking over your mind. Even turn it into a daily affirmation, or set it as a reminder on your phone.
Just remember, the work you’re doing now is a testament to how capable you truly are, and shows how far you’ve come since this time last year!
